Dairy Free Blueberry Protein Smoothie

Time is hard to find these days, and for many this means racing out the door to work or school before setting up our amazing bodies for the day. From a metabolic perspective, I believe breakfast is important to kick start the body into gear to ensure that proper digestion and other bodily processes occur easily throughout the day. If like me, you’re in a rush and not able to wait for the toast to pop up in the morning, smoothies are a quick and easy to get in an abundance of vitamins, mineral, healthy fats and PROTEIN!

This blueberry protein smoothie can be made dairy free and is a great source of antioxidants, omega 3 fatty acids, an easily digestible form of protein, and most importantly tastes great!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 200ml Almond Milk (feel free to use dairy or any other type of nut or rice milk)
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Clean Lean Protein (or any vanilla whey or pea protein)
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 tbsp Almond Butter
  • 2 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 large handful of spinach leaves

If you’re really short on time, whip up this smoothie at dinner time and place in the fridge overnight. In the morning, shake in a shaker or stir to mix again and you’re ready to go!
