Happy Wicked Wednesday everyone!
Since it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow, I thought I would feature a Valentine’s themed sweet treat for this Wicked Wednesday recipe. Mind you, this would also make a perfect birthday, anniversary, thank you or “just because” gift!
This recipe is so easy and quick to make, and the best thing is, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
- 250g (15-20) fresh strawberries, washed and leaves left on
- 100g dark chocolate
- 15-20 skewers
Insert a skewer into the centre of each strawberry at the leaves end. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, or in a bowl over hot water, until just melted. Be sure not to let it burn! Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate about half way up. Transfer each dipped strawberry skewer upright into a tall glass or vase and transfer to the fridge to cool. Once all the chocolate strawberries have set and hardened, wrap up in a bouquet style using gift wrapping paper or cellophane. Give to your loved one and enjoy!
